The achievement of these voluntary standards in the field of environment, health  and worker safety is a project that fits into the broader vision of the company regarding the management of ESG issues

Polti, an important player in the Small Appliances market with ever-expanding ranges, and leader in steam applications for both ironing and cleaning in the home and professional environments, announces the achievement of two important certifications, ISO 14001:2015 on environmental management and ISO 45001:2018 on health and safety at work. Both are system certifications: the first guides the company to put in place the necessary actions to activate a system for optimising environmental performance, the second aims to improve the safety and health of workers through the provision of safe and healthy workplaces, preventing any risks and promoting the best conditions for carrying out their duties.

The achievement of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 represents an important objective among the many activities that are part of the multi-year sustainability plan defined by Polti following its important collaboration with the Sustainability Lab research center of SDA Bocconi School of Management, a coordinated action plan, with clear, measurable objectives consistent with ESG parameters - Environmental, Social, Governance. Both certifications are the result of a voluntary choice that Polti has undertaken with the aim of adopting a modern management system, which makes it possible to optimize its processes in terms of greater efficiency, reducing its impact on the environment and safety to protect the health and well-being of its employees.

Francesca Polti, CEO and President of Polti Spa, comments: "The decision to have our company certified for both Occupational Safety and Environmental Management is part of the Sustainability project in its broadest sense, which for us means progress combined with 360° protection, care, respect and ethics. It is only through the assumption of concrete commitments subjected to validation by third parties that we can truly be able to say we are on the way to pursuing a development that can ensure the satisfaction of the needs of the present generation without compromising the possibility of future generations to realize their own' (UN Report Our Common Future - 1987)".

Active participation and involvement of people at all levels played a key role in achieving the result; the certification process allowed us to immediately identify and implement new procedures both in terms of working method and environmental sustainability including, for example, the model of reducing waste by recovering the water used for testing all products, the identification of opportunities for improvement based on direct reports from employees and, last but not least, the establishment of an internal committee that constantly monitors processes and implements any corrective actions.
